August 15, 201510 yr have a panel all glued up Just some more thin Oak. Have all four corners joined up on the box. Was using it to set the glue up on. Some came out better than others. Stand it up for a moment.. These weren't too hateful. Seemed the more I worked on this, the better each corner got. Laid it back down, on the new panel(for now) and tried a layout of sorts have a few others to bring to the shop, but I think this might work. Maybe some grooves to hold them in place? Have a couple more blanks to joint, glue up and trim to size... Some donated maple. As for that plane that keeps trying to photo bomb this? Will need this to make a few rebates. Maybe set it to allow a bottom to set in the box?? So far, so good...might stay tuned...
August 16, 201510 yr Author Well, got things into the clamps, took a bit of fussing & cussing...and five clamps! The diagonal one was to pull it into a square shape., two others each way. letting this sit overnight. Not too sure about this set-up.. 2 screws hold a keeper in place. The piece below has grooves to fit the shanks. I ganged up two pieces, drilled a few holes with the center of the drill bit in the middle. Threw the extra one out, for now. Might add a layer like is in a tool box drawer, the black foam mesh ones. Not sure about that "keeper" yet. Will sleep on it, and see what happen tomorrow...
