Ron Dudelston Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 My good friend John Moody normally starts this topic every Friday but he's stuck in traffic leaving Mount Vernon near Washington D.C. With any luck he'll be rolling in to our house tomorrow and we're going to join 400,000 of our closest friends for the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday before he heads back to Alabama. So what's on your agenda for this Memorial Day weekend? Ernie Richardson (BAA Bugler) 1 Quote
Larry Buskirk Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 Ron, I'll be doing at least 500 laps trying to beat the rain on my John Deere Z225. I've been mowing roughly 7.5 acres this month. I've bounced around so much it feels like I've drove my butt clean up to my shoulders. Quote
John Hechel Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 for me it was 2 two day craft shows. Due to a snafu on the organizers part we were told we had been denied for one show so we quickly booked another. Even though it was past the deadline the other show let us in. After we questioned the first show they realized their mistake and told us we were accepted. now we had two shows so my wife did one while I did the other. This made for a long week in the shop as we had to feverishly attempt to double our inventories. We were fortunate to get just enough completed in time that we didn't leave too many customers unsatisfied. Going forward though we are going to try and keep those levels so we can double up a few more times. Quote
Ron Dudelston Posted May 27, 2015 Author Report Posted May 27, 2015 John, did your weekend turn out to be profitable? Quote
John Moody Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Ron, thanks for posting the "Friday" post. I was driving and visiting Mount Vernon on Friday. I thought I might get the post up when we got to where we were staying, but it was 11:30 pm and I was a whipped puppy. Quote
John Hechel Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 Ron even with the added mileage and having to buy another canopy we turned out good. Enough so that we may consider doubling up again for some future shows. Ernie Richardson (BAA Bugler) 1 Quote
Ron Dudelston Posted May 28, 2015 Author Report Posted May 28, 2015 The best show is the one you make money on. Glad to hear it John! John Morris 1 Quote
