Friday, April 17th, What's on Your Patriot Woodworker Agenda?

Well it continues to rain almost everyday here but at least the shop is dry. I know I am going to talk about all of this rain and about mid summer we will be in a drought and I will be wishing for some of this.

Well last night I put the finishing touches on the Breakfast table I have been working on forever. I wasn't sure this was ever going to get to a finish point, but atlas it has.

There will be more pictures and a complete start to finish in another post (I know you are glad to hear that.)

So we will start another project that is already on the board Saturday morning. I have most of the pieces already cut, but I will start glueing the top for a custom Green Egg table for another customer. I can't wait to get it going. This one will be some different from the others I have built.

And of course I have cutting boards that will also get cut and glued this weekend. I have a huge two day show in about a month so we will be working on inventory every chance we have.

What is happening in Your Patriot Woodworker shop this weekend? You know we here at TPW love to see all of the projects from start to finish. Share you project and plans for this weekend with us.

Should be a great weekend as any weekend in the shop is great!!!

Nice looking table, John. Don't think it'll be tippy, at all.

Phyl and I loaded and un loaded 150+ BF of white oak Tuesday. 90% of it was full 8/4, 7-10" and 8-10' long. We are both getting too old for this!

Anyway, I've started milling the pieces for a couple Morris Chairs and ottomans. A month long project, I suspect.

Wow Gene now that is some big wood.

Looking forward to following along on the Morris Chairs. I am wanting to build a couple myself.

Well, today I rebuilt 30 feet of privacy fence so I probably won't be able to crawl out of bed tomorrow.  If I can, I need to finish two cherry flag cases I have started.

That table surely does look heavy! You guys make me look like a lazy slug!!

A few walnut slabs to be taken to a guy with a WoodMizer on Saturday. These will become the humidor box and a storage box for a shotgun.

man beautiful slabs! Love me some Walnut!

I think it started out as 12/4 when wet. Right now it's 2 3/4".

I almost hate to admit it but I got 9 of these slabs for a total of $100 and the promise to make the humidor.

Lew you suck big time. $100 for that walnut is a steal. I'd keep an eye out for the cops.

BTW, I don't think Windex cleaner will enhance the color at all.

But then, neither will 409.

Woodworking? Heck I'm lucky to even step into my shop these days! Dropped off my youngest girl across town this morning to her rodeo event, she'll be there all day (mama will join her in an hour), leaving to take my son to his baseball game right now, then after the game stopping by Home Depot to pick up some plumbing stuff for our bathtub install, then after that back home just in time to take my oldest girl to her music rehearsal, then after that we meet mama and young daughter at the rodeo and hang there for a couple hours to see her ride, then after the rodeo we pick up oldest girl from rehearsal and help her get ready for the ROTC ball tonight. Woodworking! I can only dream of it folks! Just a normal Saturday in the Morris home! Then Sunday, after church I am heading across county to take our oldest girl to a club tea party meet and greet for a very special event she'll be attending in July for the Whew! And I aint even ate yet!:D:wacko:

Yesterday we went on a tour of Cal Baptist College with our oldest girl, it's a great college, so really my weekend started yesterday. I thought as the kids got older life would slow down a tad, but not! It's just getting started.

I am living my woodworking dreams through you guys, please keep posting images and stories of your woodworking endeavors, I love them all.

You all lead a pretty busy life. We have twin boys, not so busy. Both played football and basketball. That was their only extracurricular activity...until they were old enough to drive. Then we weren't too busy...just worried a lot.
