Friday, Feb 27th, What's on Your Patriot Woodworker Agenda?

It has been a wild and crazy week here in the South. They have predicted snow and no snow happened, but Wednesday afternoon it started and continued into Thursday. As you all know, a big frost will shut us down so you can imagine what 4" to 6" of snow will do.

That was around 4:00 in the afternoon when I got home from work. The actually let us go a bit early. It didn't start snowing until about 2:00 so we got a bit in a short time.

I felt a bit like CCR, Doo, doo doo Looking out my back door!

I did take a trip down to the shop to make sure the heat was on a little later and took this from the shop door.

So anyway the next day it got up to 45 and all of it melted by around 1:00 so it lasted less than 24 hours here.

So enough of that, this weekend I will be pushing it again in the shop. I will finish up the 8 large cutting boards, glue up about 7 edge grain boards and deliver a project to a customer. Saturday is suppose to be in the 50's so it will be a good time to get some items out of the shop.

Sunday afternoon will be finishing up what I don't get on Saturday. My first show of the season, which is also an outdoor show in downtown will be next Friday. I am sure hoping the warm weather gets here before then.

But I am working on my inventory for First Friday's Florence and will be in the shop as much time as I can.

So how about you all, what is on your woodworking agenda for this weekend? We love to see all of the wonderful projects you are making and see what is going on in your shop. So share with the rest of us here at TPW you woodworking agenda this weekend.

Come on, it is time to make some sawdust!

Man, John, you are one busy guy!

For me, it'll be cleaning the shop after getting the podium done and playing with those fantastic Easy Wood Tools!!

John,

It's 14° here now, that's our forecast high for the day.

I don't think our snow will be melting.

I'm working on 3 rolling shelves to install in a mahogany credenza.  This has been a cool project because I'm going to dye the shelves instead of staining them.  I'm learning a bunch!

this weekend it is all about the Duluth Historical Society - I'm building 4 displays for them - gratis of course

glad I finally got last weekends projects finished

over and out

you got some snow..   Welcome to the misery.

Try to stay off the roads.

There's crazy people out there.

Much of the US is just trying to stay warm or to manage the snow. That is what I'll be doing too. We have had a record breaking 53 inches of snow for the month of February. January was also unusual, no snow and very warm. One sure thing about the weather predictions here, the old farmers almanac is probably as accurate. :)
