Hi all, the last couple of days I have had time to put on the lathe and actually get something done. So I decided that I would do a few of these perfume applicators that I had not done before.

I hear that in some areas they can be pretty hot sellers too so we'll see how it goes.

The first one is made from Buckeye burl

Then one done in Bocote.

The lids can be a bit of a pain to put together because they are so small, not much bigger than a dime. I had to put a block of wood between the applicator lid and the press rod so that they would have enough length to reach the lid.

Thanks for looking :)

Very nice Charles.  These going on Etsy?  You may think about consigning these to a ladies apparel shop in your area.  They'd sell.

Back in my "wood turning" days, I made a couple of the perfume applicators. They are a bit different to work with, but turn out nice when done. Being a "free form" design as opposed to typical pen work, if you are creative you can make a number of different unique designs. I am just not very artistic so I had difficulties coming up with creative designs for them. My wife and daughter loved the ones that I made for them.

Very nice job on those Charles. I hope they sell well for you. I love both of them.

Thanks a lot all. Yea Ron they are already listed on Etsy, at least these 2 anyway, the third one I haven't made yet, but it will be made from spalted maple, I'm hoping the spalting pattern will work with the small size, If not, I may just spin it off and redo it in another wood.
