Friday, Jan 2nd, What's on Your Patrtiot Woodworker Agenda?

Featured Replies

This past year just seem to fly by and here we are starting another year on The Patriot Woodworker. I hope you find our Friday post fun and useful and please share  your projects with the rest of us. Getting to see what other woodworker are doing helps us all.

I am getting closer to the redo in my shop. We have been working each night and all day yesterday to rearrange the shop and clean it out. With all the dust collection and shop vac's, I am still amazed at how much dust was everywhere. But I am liking the new work flow that will be in the shop and I believe this is going to give us more useable room.

We still like the back wall and then I have to re-align my table saw and hook up new dust collection port.

Here are a couple of shot, one when we started and one last night as I walked out of the shop.

I believe by the end of the week I should be back to making things in the shop.

So how about the rest of you Patriot Woodworkers, what's on your agenda this weekend? We here at TPW love to see your projects and hear all about them. Post and let us know what you are working on.

By the way, Congratulations to Ohio State in beating my Crimson Tide.

I  hear you Lew. My wife is still waiting on a table I promised her several years ago.

Had to sweep up in the Dungeon Shop..

Have TWO shop tours going on tomorrow.

Might have to have a mop handy, to keep the drooling off the floor....

Maybe SOMEDAY, RonDon will show up as well.  Nah...might give him a heart attack....

Oh, no, one day when I am back up that way we are making the trip over to see the dungeon shop!

Recovering today from a late night of football. Two fantastic games. Stayed up way past my bedtime, but it was worth it. :)  :) Plus, had to take the car in due to an airbag malfunction light. Turns out, mice had chewed some wiring. 6 hours shot!

Tomorrow, back to the jewelry chest: Assemble and glue a bunch of M&Ts, prepare stock for two inlaid doors, prepare stock for wooden hinges.

Might get the doors assembled on Sunday.

Ive got to work for awhile on sat but then I should have time to work more on the dresser that im making plus some cheese boards.

John, I can see the floor!!!!!!   I'm going to finish up a lofe in the morning and rest tomorrow afternoon.  My son and I helped my neighbor move today.  A very large Hertz truck and a smalled 5 X 8 covered trailer.  Man, I'm whipped.

I've been doing some shop cleaning also. at the same time I'm using scraps to make a bunch of small cutting boards and pizza cutter/ice cream scoop handles. so far I have 17 cutting boards glued up and about 50 handles ready for the lathe. on the plus side my nephews are in town so they get to come help me in the shop on Sunday.

Agenda, is that a nice way way to say organized mess that we work in? Hoping to get a knelling bench repaired before she gets home from the holiday vacation she took.

Lets see, work a 12 hour shift, come home and sit for maybe 1/2 an hour

First guest arrives, short tour, then downtown to check out an auction about to start.  Didn't anything worth waiting around on, back to the shop

Second Guest arrives, after finding the correct address, and meets the otherhalf.....Girl talk.   Then she comes down to the Dungeon shop.....

About 1430 hrs, Meet & Greet ends.   Lots of shavings and sawdust were made, planes were traded, and even a couple sold.   Three saws have left the building, too.   I think I more or less CRASHED about 1700 hrs.    I might have been just a wee bit tired?   Had a lot of fun, though!    Seemed that every plane down there was tried out, a class was held on handsawing, and one was given on hand planing a raised panel.   Tool Chests were drooled on, too.   Might get around to putting all the toys, er...TOOLS away later.

Shop is aslways available for a tour, just let me know when you want to visit.....
