Friday, Sept 26Th, What's On Your Patriot Woodworker Agenda?

Featured Replies

I found out last evening that at my age I don't bounce the way I did when I was younger. I was headed down the steps on our deck and missed a step. Four steps later and a lot of fancy moves, I was on my back in the driveway. Nothing broke and I appear to be okay with the exception of my back which has been quite sore when I try to move.

No woodworking for me this weekend although I have plenty that needs finishing. I will be spending lots of time trying not to move too fast.

But how about the rest of you? You know we here at TPW love to see your woodworking projects or shop projects. So come on and share with us what you have on your agenda this weekend.

I'll be watching to see what you Patriot Woodworker are working on.

John, you left the door wwwwwiiiiiiddddddeeeeeee  open about getting older but since you can't fight back I'll not comment.  I found out this week that I'm going to do a Christmas show November 15th so I have a bit of stock to build and I've been building cutting boards this week.  However, tomorrow I'll be joining about 8 or 9 guys from our church and we're going to install 15 square of shingles on a garage for a member of the community.  Probably by this time tomorrow night I'll be feeling as good as my good friend John Moody.

You took the words out of mouth :). Have a show tomorrow ans the Mrs. volunteered to add some tings for her girl friends. I spent the night building a display for their products.  Being they are from our church I don't mind. Just wished I knew earlier.

John

A good easy chair, some football and you'll be fine :)

Don't forget the cobbler :)

Just saw this post and I am sorry to hear about you taking a tumble.

I am glad that you are still in one piece.

I must be a weeble cause they wobble.

Oooops!

Take it easy this weekend, John. Get healed up. Maybe order one of these

We have 3/4 of an acre of tumble weeds I've been hoeing up and burning. Actually a lot more than 3/4 acre, but the rest can wait.

It's not woodworking but tumble weeds are a woody plant.

Gene, are the tumblewweds dry enough after last weeks downpours?

We were almost sure the monsoons were done. No rain for 3 weeks. Then, last night and this morning we got all 3 weeks worth at once. It's still raining. Too dark to go out and see the rain gauge. but I'm guessing a couple inches. I'll bet the wash is running full. No traffic today. I'll miss seeing those 3 or four cars going by.
