September 19, 201411 yr Out on the Rust Hunt again today Found an expensive pair of tools The Visegrips will clean up ok. Same with the nutdrivers. Now, about that Non-hand tool rehab? Found a pile of parts in a clear plastic tub. Spent a whopping $10, too. It is the same age as I am. A 1953 AMF Red & White Tricycle! Needs a wee bit of TLC, though. But, all the parts are there. Might take a little bit longer to do than the usual day a hand plane takes, Ya Think? Will be posting a step-by-step blog of some kind for this, IF you people would like. May now be a hand tool, but, I might use a few to restore this old bike.

September 19, 201411 yr Tried to name each photo. Could not get it to work from MY end of the world. Steve, right click on the images in the folder where they reside, click on "Rename" and you are then able to rename them. Let me know if you need help with this process. I can even post a short tutorial on this. Thanks Steve. By the way, nice rust hunt!
September 20, 201411 yr Author We'll see how this goes. Got the trike back together. Had to MAKE two bolts to hold the front wheel on. And the Fender, and the rod shaped bumper. Came to cotter pin the rear wheels......either the hole was too small, or the pin's too big. Drilled them out to fit the new pins. Spray bottle of cleaner got rid of most of the grime. An area right in front of the seat MIGHT need a little more than spray stuff. May have to sand it smooth, prime & paint. Front wheel is still very rusty. Same goes for it. Sand, prime & paint. Seems to be a Hawthorne that was sold at Monkey-Wards back in the 50s.....Made by AMF. Now, WHERE does one add photos in replies?????
September 20, 201411 yr While you are typing in your text box Steve, look at the lower right of the text box, and you'll see a button "More Reply Options" click that button, and you'll see the attach images function.
