September 14, 201015 yr Author Just one coat of danish oil beside the BLO Richard, wipe on and wipe off, more if I desire, but your right, the object of this is to keep that in the wood finish. This is the very first project I have done where most of the finishing is done in the sanding the process. From 80 grit to 2000 abralon. The abralon final sand actually burnished the wood shiny before I even put a coat of oil on it. The chair looked finished before anything went on it. I will use this method in the future for virtually everything I do now, I really like it. As far as preview mode, not yet, but if you don't like what you see after you post it, just click on the post, it will turn yellow and you can edit it and or delete it. You have 15 minutes to perform this action. If you guys ever need to edit anything at all after the 15 minutes, or wish to delete anything, just notify me and I can take care of that for you. Hope this helps! Richard McComas said:BTW John C, what is you finish schedule . Any thing go on top of the BLO? I know a lot of the time "Fine Furniture" like your rocker get nothing but an in the wood oil finish but just wondering what you plan. BTW Does this forum have a preview mode so one can look his post before posting it?

September 18, 201015 yr John, I've gone back and re-looked at the photos. That is a truly magnifcent piece of mastery. For me , to sell that would be like selling one of the grandkids.
