February 18, 201115 yr comment_49386 Drying blanks huh? Is that your story and you're going to stick to it?John Moody said: My fridge is under the microwaves. They are there for drying turning blanks. More recently there were used to warm the food for the bird dog puppies. My shop is sharing with my sons hunting stuff, dog stuff and the lawn care stuff. You didn't see a shot of the other end where the roll up doors are. There is hay, bags of concrete and other stuff there for the building of the new dog kennel, what a mess! Hopefully that project get finished sometime this week and all of that goes back out to the kennel. Report

February 23, 201115 yr comment_49384  VERY NICE, I am very envious or your shop. I now operate in half of an unheated garage and would love a shop like yours. It is well organized, well equiped and well envied.  Have fun in there! Report
February 28, 201115 yr comment_49383 Nice shop and great dust collector/filter system. I've threatened to do that for YEARS.Clean shop? Not to worry, I recently "discovered" (okay admitted to) the FACT that horizontal surfaces collect more than errant DUST, they SEEM to collect everything. The solution, I discovered is LIMIT the horizontal surfaces ... oh, and listen to that voice in your head that says "PUT IT AWAY" - it may sound like your mother, father, or wife but it's one worth listening to. March 1, 201115 yr comment_49381 I didn't realize how much stuff I had before I cleaned off all my tables and put it all in rows on the floor. If things don't have a "home" then they hang out on the bench or table saw. I still have to put things away every few weeks or it gets to be too much. I'm considering lower shelves under the assembly table and bench to stash things to keep the top clear. Not sure if it'll be totally successful, though. March 1, 201115 yr comment_49380 Just keeping the flat surfaces clean is a chore. If I don't put it away immediately they start to pile up. I try really hard to put everything I can away at the end of each working session. Heck when I do that I find things I didn't know I had. Report
