My dad was in the Marines in WWII. I think I shared this in another thread we had, but he, like some of the others has never said much about what he experienced. Some weeks back I was asking him what Islands he was on and the only ones he name was Saipan (Northern Mariana Islands), Guam and Guadalcanal. He wanted to know why I wanted to know what he did. Just told him I was interested and that ended the conversation
