June 3, 201115 yr comment_45014 I have installed a new chat bar I think you guys might like, please play with it for now, let me know what you think. I am in the process in developing it further. There is much tweaking that needs to take place. Play with the settings, look around in it, and let me know how you did!The bar is at the bottom of our site. Good luck! Oh yes, by the way, the new chat is called "Shop Talk". When you click on "Shop Talk" you might see the "Loading" on the chat page, give it time, it is loading your member profile, it takes time, but only once. John Report

June 4, 201115 yr comment_45025 I like it so far John. Got to admit when I first logged on and it appeared, I thought it was some type of advertisement and tried for a few minutes to turn it off. Report

June 5, 201115 yr Author comment_45017 Hang in there guys, Mr Moody and myself are working on it. We really want this to work, because, this chat bar has the notifier you've all been screaming about! You know, the one that lets you know someone is trying to chat. For now, you guys can chat one on one with the Who's Online feature, just click on Who's Online, click on the member you want to chat with, and your up and running talking with that member instantly, all conversations in the Who's Online mode is private, no body but the two involved see the box.John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker Report

June 6, 201115 yr comment_45015 So we can try to troubleshoot and duplicate the problem you are having with the new chat feature, if you are not seeing what John has posted in the picture, let us know what version of windows you are running, ie, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7. To find out, right click on "My Computer" or "Computer" and select properties. You will find your version on that screen. Also let us know which Browser you are running and which version you are on. If you are using IE that information will be under the "About" or "?". On Firefox, it will be under "Help" then "About". This will help us to see if a feature is not working for a particular version and maybe how to get it to work for you. As a good point or rule, it you don't have all of the updates and patches provided by Microsoft on your computer it would be a good thing to do this regularly. If you are running XP go to this link, http://www.update.microsoft.com/ If you are using Windows 7 it is on the start menu. Thanks John Moody Report
