Alot of our questions and suggestions for tool usage has gone to the general "Tools and Tool Shopping" forum. But I am considering a forum for Hand Tools.

I'd like to get a feel from our members how popular this would be.

Hmmm. A hand tool forum. Just might work. I would like to point out that some of the most beautiful pieces of furniture were created before the advent of electricity and power tools. Just saying. I would love to see a hand tool forum and would contribute regularly (suprise, suprise). Thanks, John.

I would like to see some of  your tools, Mike. I have made lots of hand tool for specific projects/uses. It was common practice for a woodworker or joiner to fabricate his own tools a couple hundered years ago.

What I have ultimately perfected is the process of bringing a good hand tool from the back of a napkin to full USA production.  There is a long way to go, but I'd love to see what's needed out there from you guys that just isn't available yet!

I think it is a great idea. I probably won't be able to contribute much for a while but it would be a great learning tool for me.
