July 15, 201115 yr Thanks again California, just received this polite email from Woodcraft "In order to comply with the changing tax laws in California, Woodcraft Supply is unable to continue the affiliate program with our vendors located there. As of 7/14/11, your account has been deactivated. We appreciate your interest in working with Woodcraft and hope that you will still look to us to Help You Make Wood Work. Thank you." This is not Woodcraft's fault, I hold the legislators of California entirely culpable. This seems to be a recurring notice these days, I apologize to the folks here who frequented our Woodcraft store, we actually made some commissions from Woodcraft sales by our members purchases which in turn helped us pay our growing overhead, it was the most active affiliate we had. Now they are gone. Gee, thanks California once again, first Amazon, now Woodcraft. Maybe the rest of our country will look to us and see how not to stimulate an economy. John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker
July 15, 201115 yr Wow.And I thought Pennsylvania was land of the Taxes. Sounds like Ca is going to run themselves out of any available market. Greed is not a good thing and maybe someday they will realize this.Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.
July 15, 201115 yr Typical government action. They only know how to grow grow grow and tax tax tax. Must be nice to live in their fantasy world.
July 15, 201115 yr I'm pretty happy in Indiana. We have a very conservative governor that turned the state around and we actually announced a 1.3 billion dollar surplus this year. Ron DudelstonAbove and Beyond WoodWorks
July 15, 201115 yr I really feel sorry for those businesses and employees who bear the brunt of CA's tax policies. They have all but killed the goose. And, I fear the feds may have the same in mind for all of us. Costa Rica looks better and better.
