Welcome to The Patriot Woodworker!

We are a grass roots website. Thank you for joining up with us. We are a relatively new site, and you will see we are a small site at this point in time. We have a good solid core community and we are excited to have you aboard with us.

Please take some time and explore our Network Tutorials to get an idea of how you can navigate our site, load pictures, create photo albums, add videos, and much more.

Also don't forget to Introduce Yourself and tell us a bit about your self. We love hearing about your interests in woodworking, and what brought you here.

While your at it drop by our General Rules discussion and see how we act here.

While our primary goal is to provide a place for woodworkers and tool enthusiasts alike, we do have an underlying agenda that I feel is fair for you all to know upfront. We are a fundraiser for The Wounded Warrior Project. We support our wounded heroes returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.

When you visit our site, you will see to the right of the sites main page, we have at least one vendor that we work with. Currently it is "Shop Woodworking" which is Popular Woodworking Magazine's retail store for books and other items for woodworkers. You will also see our Google advertisers at the top of our site. Please visit our affiliate "Shop Woodworking" and purchase your woodworking books. We gain a 5 percent commission from your purchases and by you visiting our Google advertisers at the top of our site.

What do we do with the funds we generate? Well, since we are a self sustaining site, backed by no outside retailers and since we don't have advertisers that pay us ad fees, we are very limited in our resources, so we use the money generated by your shopping our affiliate to pay for our site hosting fees and we contribute to The Wounded Warrior Project. We average about 30 or 40 dollars a month in total revenues from all sources because we are still a wonderfully small and down home site. So anything you do in the way of shopping on our site, or visiting our Google Ads is greatly appreciated. Remember, non of us takes a single dime from our revenues generated, we are all volunteers here, no body makes a dime off your generosity.

One thing I don't ever want on this network, is for anyone to feel obligated to purchase anything while here, we just want you to be here and have fun. You might not know this, but just by you being here, your helping us, and your helping our servicemen and women.

If your in a good position in life where you can afford to part with some funds for a great cause, a good place to start is by donating to The Wounded Warrior Project through our team page. All funds donated go directly to The Wounded Warriors. You can go to the TEAM PAGE and place your donation. All proceeds go directly to The Wounded Warrior Project And if you really like what you see here, and you'd like to show your support by donating to The Patriot Woodworker Community to help keep us live, you can go to Support The Patriot Woodworker and make a small donation. Your donations will go to our hosting provider to pay our monthly dues, and we are also using donations for the shipping charges of the Challenge Coin Displays that our members have been making to send to our troops laid up in the hospital while recovering from their battle wounds.

So, that's the run down on our little corner of the world here, I hope you stay, I hope you participate, and most of all, I hope you have fun while here. And please, if there are any issues, concerns or great suggestions to make our site better, please contact me John Morris at MY PAGE.

Thank You once again for joining us
