August 11, 201114 yr Hey Bob, Â If you don't mind could you let us know what the finish schedule you used on that piece. Would love to get that on some of the things i make. Rich. Â I just keep hammering away.
August 11, 201114 yr Here is the birdseye cabinet. This one is not sold yet. The birdseye is called brown birdseye bec ause it has a lot of heartwood in it. The heartwood is brown colored. But the deeper into the tree you go, the more birdseye you get. This is a tradeoff for me. I love more figure and dying the wood evens out the color. This was done in a pilgram amber color.  Richard, the curly maple one was done in a color called antique cherry. General Finishes makes a nice line of dyes. You can mix colors to come up with almost anything. bob  Bob Kloeswww.bobkloes.com

August 11, 201114 yr Ace, you make me smile. Not hard taking pictures on the old picnic table on the back deck. The lighting comes from the big guy upstairs. Â Bob Kloeswww.bobkloes.com
August 11, 201114 yr I'm serious...the contrasting colors, the red of the building, old scruffy picnic table, the whole thing...just smacks you in the face....oh yeah nice use of the round-over bit on the face of the birds-eye piece. Â Must be all those art shows rubbing off on you....... Â -Ace-
August 11, 201114 yr No round over bit used. I chamfered the 2 outside edges. The red building is the shop. I knew it would come in handy sometime. heheheThe old picnic table is a nice setting. I like that too. Bob Kloeswww.bobkloes.com
