October 14, 201114 yr After much deliberation and thought, I am opening up the "Free For All" forum to free speech. Our "Free For All" was at one time the bastion of free speech amongst woodworking forums nationwide. We strayed, became too politically correct, thinking that political correctness would improve our site. I feel we are a lesser site for what we have become. So, with nothing to loose but quite possibly a few valuable members who might be easily offended, we are opening our Free For All Forum back up to your thoughts, your passions, your political views, your religion, your non religion, your open opinions, your life, and your philosophies. There are still some rules to abide by. Please see our Terms Of Service, and the first rules of our Terms of Service are:1. No members shall address any members on this network in a negative, derogatory or inflammatory manner.2. Hate speech and racism, and attacks on personal lifestyle choices will not be tolerated here.3. A violation of the above rules will result in temporary suspension up to permanent removal from our network.Beyond that folks the rest is fair game. Just respect each other and engage in spirited conversations and debates. Above all, we are woodworkers with a cause, our troops. And for that, we are all in this together.Thank you for being here, and thank you for sticking with me, and us. John Morris The Patriot Woodworker

October 14, 201114 yr Good Morning John,Thanks for posting your decision to make the free speach forum back to the way you first set it up. Allowing for comments that are true and to the point without stepping on someone's toes or causing hard feelings amoungst friends.I have always said that if you can't say anything good about a person or persons then don't say anything at all.
October 14, 201114 yr Author Thanks Ralph, but, and a big but my friend. In our Free For All Forum, toes will be stepped on, feelings most likely will be hurt, folks will be offended, political views will be challenged, belief systems will be challenged and debated as well, and of course this can't be done without folks getting bent. What we will not tolerate though, are personal attacks, being called out by name, statements like "Your an idiot" etc will not be tolerated. And we will not tolerate bigoted statements, racism, or hate speech. So Ralph, I am glad your happy with my decision to get this forum back to our founding principles. After all, how can we call ourselves The Patriot Woodworker without Free Speech? Thanks buddy   John Morris The Patriot Woodworker

October 15, 201114 yr Good Morning Friends,Today I will be honored at a pig roast for my part in restoring the stairs in the 1842 home of a client that had caught fire and burnt out a good portion of the living quarters including to the front stairs. Who will have seven different corporate CEOs attending with one group wanting a conference table 21' long and 5' 6" wide resting on 3 drum pedestals, made out of quarter sawn White Oak. What a thrill it will be to build up such a project. Â
