October 30, 201114 yr I would like to invite fellow members to see a tool I have invented that I need to name! Also I keep thinking I have already seen something like this before but I am really not sure, so I thought I would ask the community here. I know it is bulky but that's so it can also be used to hammer things as well. This is a preview of a tool that seems familiar but has never been seen anywhere on earth that I know of! Please give me your impressions. (This is not some earth shaking break through, but it does outperform the standard "cat's paw" because it can GRAB!) I invite any kind of feedback, but let's keep it low key!IMG_0520.jpg IMG_0522.jpg
October 30, 201114 yr Cat's Paw PlierCat's Paw Plus.    Plus Grab capabilityMaster Cat's Paw.   Don't leave home without it.Journyman's Cat's Paw.   Don't go to the job sight without it.Carpenters Friend. It' kind of cool idea. October 30, 201114 yr It reminds me of a tropical birds bill. It could be called the Toucan Nail Puller. It looks like a really great tool Mike, how much is retailing for? John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker
October 30, 201114 yr Author I will probably start it out at $24.95 because of the cost of USA production and the fact that it's patent protected. I have it geared to be available to both pros and DIYers. Can you guys tell that it's basically a cat's paw that happens to open and close? My theory is that it does evertything a plain ol' cat's paw will do and more, and it should be easier to use and faster! I sure appreciate your feedback! Pretty wild to see another brand new hand tool huh?
October 30, 201114 yr Author Mak, thank you for your kind help! Ironically, some clever guy actually trademarked "cat's paw" so I have to get clever!Mark Dorman said:Cat's Paw PlierCat's Paw Plus.    Plus Grab capabilityMaster Cat's Paw.   Don't leave home without it.Journyman's Cat's Paw.   Don't go to the job sight without it.Carpenters Friend. It' kind of cool idea. October 31, 201114 yr Mike, How about Foley's Nail Puller Pliers? I've seen something similar, I believe it was at an upholstery shop a few years ago. The shop owner had a lot of hand tools that he customized to make his work easier. Â Larry

November 3, 201114 yr Author I like it, but they're used already. The Nail Hawk comes from the tool's look when you hold it. See the pic!SQ said:How about just "The Claw" ?  Or how about "Jaws".  SQ It it can't be fixed with glue and sawdust - it's not worth fixing.
