November 24, 201114 yr  Well here we are, celebrating another Thanksgiving together. This is our second Thanksgiving since we were born as a woodworking forum. And we are honored and proud to have you all aboard with us. Happy Thanksgiving Patriot Woodworkers, to all our friends around the nation, and a salute to our friends around the world even though they don't celebrate our day of Thanks, I know they have reasons to be thankful as well. We at The Patriot Woodworker hope you all have a wonderful day, and your powers that be shine down on your life and bless you with happiness and good health. Be well, and be safe this Holiday weekend, remember, safety first. Be careful of those drivers that don't care about others, and if your a black Friday type of individual, watch those stampeding herds! Thank You all for being a part of our Patriot Woodworker Family and we'll see ya when you come up for air! John Morris and Crew The Patriot Woodworker  John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker

November 25, 201114 yr Author Guys, I know we have many recipes we could share for our bird, but I have tried many, and have hit on some really good ones. We have barbecued, deep fried, and everything else you think of. But over the last couple years we have been doing the oven bag method. It's virtually fool proof. And the bird is cooked quicker too. We baked our turkey at 23.5 lbs in 3 hrs and 45 minutes. Typically it would take about 5 to 6 hours for that size. And when it comes out of that bag, man is it tender, juicy, and just reeeeally good. So my official recommendation for all our Christmas turkeys out there, is the Renoylds Roast Bag! It's hard to dry a bird out with one of these. And yes, you still get roast turkey aroma throughout the home. Now for The Patriot Woodworker's Christmas dinner, we traditionally do a big ol Prime Rib and a small Ham. After Thanksgiving, the Turkey needs a rest for about 12 months! John Morris The Patriot Woodworker
