November 28, 201114 yr For those of you who have been with us for more than a year, you'll know that we disclose our budget and finances from the prior year. Since we are an all volunteer website, and we receive donations from our members and we acquire funds from our affiliates sales on our site, we feel it necessary in the spirit of full disclosure to show our members what happens with the money we collect from this site. The following summary is accurate and current.  GROSS REVENUES Total donations in the last 12 months: $769.12 Total sales commissions: $72.59 Gross revenue: $841.71  EXPENDITURES Site Hosting Fees by Ning: $719.88 Application Fees by Skysa: $59.88 Charity for Distressed Members: $150.00 Donations for Wounded Warriors: $100.00 Wounded Warriors Coin Displays Shipments: $193.06 Veterans Day Drawing Prizes: $200.00 Total Expenditures: $1422.82  Gross minus Expenditures                                         $841.71                                                                                         -$1422.82                                                                                     ------------------                                                                                            $581.11  Non Overhead Items Challenge Coin Displays donated by our members for our Wounded Warriors have an appraised value of $2400.00 for the year of 2011. Cash donations donated by Patriot Woodworker Members directly to The Wounded Warrior Project during the year 2011 totaled = $985.00 Total value of donations by Patriot Woodworker Members = $3385.00   Way to go members!!!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would like to thank all those who stepped up to the table and donated this past year, we could not have existed without you! And I would like to thank those who made purchases through our affiliates. And I would like to thank everyone for being here and participating on The Patriot Woodworker. Without all of you, we most certainly would not be here! We are an all volunteer site. And zero funds ever enter the pockets of myself or our site helpers and our Assistant Administrator John Moody. We are here because we love Woodworking, and helping our Troops! If you like what you see here, and you feel a little heavy in the pockets these days, (really now, that's a rare occurrence in today's economy) please Donate to The Patriot Woodworker to help us stay live and current with our bills. And when your ready to pull the trigger on that special gift or for your own shops, please consider going through our site and our affiliates to make your purchases, it doesn't cost you anything extra to do so. As you all know, we have recently teamed up with Woodcraft as an affiliate. We are not getting ad revenue for Woodcraft being up on our Home Page. We make zero ad revenues on this site. The only way we bring in funds, is when you enter their site through ours and make a purchase. Woodcraft is an ardent supporter of our troops, their customer service is tops, and their products are backed. Soon we will be eliminating all other affiliates from our site, and Woodcraft will be our premier affiliate, solely for the reason that I feel they have the American fighting men and women in their best interest. That is rare of a company these days to take that open stance. Thank you Woodcraft. And thank you all once again for making this past year just a really fun experience for all of us. Your all the best and we love each and everyone of you for being here. This site is priceless in my estimation, we have all worked so hard for us to be what we are today, and I hope you'll all continue to be a Patriot Woodworker and participate during the coming year when you can. We know you all have lives, but when you come here and call us home for that brief moment out of your day, it means a lot to us. John Morris The Patriot Woodworker    Â
November 28, 201114 yr Hi John,I sure don't like to see all of that red ink and I'll do what I can to lighten the load a bit, Things are rather tight due to all the money having to be paid out for my wife's needs and care that is not covered by insurance which is very high at this time. I pray that we all have the good Lord on our sides and as long as we have faith in him he will make everything easier. Take care my friend and thanks for all you do for the forums.
November 29, 201114 yr Hi John, I'll see what I can do to help out, as I truly enjoy calling TPW home. I'm tight myself, but don't want to lose this website. I've made some good friends the brief time that I've been coming here, and would like to continue calling the TPW home. I realize hosting this site takes alot of your time, and financial resources. I appreciate your commitment to doing so. Respectfully, Larry
November 29, 201114 yr Author Ralph and Larry, we all do what we can do, I have always felt that I am getting the better end of this bargain, I get to come here and see all your pretty faces every day in and day out and BS with yall. Believe me when I say, just by you guys being here, is payment enough, no worries. We do what we can do when we can do it. Peace out! John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker
November 29, 201114 yr I personally use my bottle/can recycling money to go to TPW. I typically get about $8-$10 each time I go in which is usually about once every 2 months. That money had been used to buy my iced tea when I go to Chick-Fil-A in the morning. Every little bit helps and it is easy to do and helps a worthwile cause as well as for mental stimulation hanging out with others who share my interests. Allen WorshamCorona, CAallenworsham@earthlink.nethttp://www.awcreationsandwoodcrafts.com'Graze in every man's field, but always give your own milk' J.
