Make the Rank!!

Featured Replies

The Patriot Woodworker Community is just having a little fun right now.

You'll notice we are all "Apprentice's" but for our forum hosts and admin. We will be going through all the profiles and designating our members a rank based on participation!

Don't be offended if in real life your a woodworking guru and you have the "Apprentice" attached to your avatar, it just simply means we need your smiley face on here and post some discussions to get up to the next level! This is going to be fun folks.

So, here we go! Let's make some rank!

Thank you to all Patriot Woodworker's for being here and participating as you do. We love you all on here no matter what your participation level is, we are just simply happy that you choose to call us home if for just a brief moment in your hectic days.

Thank You!6.gif

I would kind of like the rank of "Grand Poo Bah" myself.

But then again that kind of lofty title would make my head swell. But since I am so humble I guess that I will pass on that one as I wouldn't want to have to deal with all the accolades.Grin.gif

Make it a "Pay Grade" sort of thing.     That way, I can tell people: "It's above my pay grade'.  Grin.gif   About like the thingy over at another  (not to be named) site?Tongue.gif        Or, will it be like a "Union" sort of grades,     ie;  Carp. I ( mine in REAL life)  almost made Carpenter II, before the big lay-offs 9 years ago.

Fred, no designation yet, it's taking some time for our software to populate all the members profiles, hang in there!

John,

Who came up with this idea?  It's brilliant, clever, and adds a little competition to the mix.  lol   Who wants to be a novice forever?  lol  I applaud whoever came up with this idea.  I need to get busy and finish a few more projects so I can post them.  :)

SQ, I actually got the idea from several other forums I have come across in my life. But the real hero is our web service provider, the software gurus gave us site creators the tools needed to assign our members ranking. What I am pushing for now is that the ranks auto populate themselves once our woodworkers reach a certain discussion number. Right now we have to manually go in and change the ranks as they are achieved. Glad you like it!!! I thought it was pretty cool too!
