Memorial Day Weekend

Featured Replies

I'd like to personally say a big thanks to all who frequent our site and help us help our troops.

The Patriot Woodworker was created for woodworkers to come together and share a common cause, supporting our men and women in our Armed Forces.

So I'd like to take this moment to ask our members to help support our troops by donating to The Wounded Warriors or Homes For Our Troops.

You can place a donation at The Patriot Woodworker WWP Team Page where all proceeds go directly to The Wounded Warriors.

And you can also donate directly to Homes For Our Troops. Both are great organizations that help our wounded veterans returning home from war.

And with that, I want folks to be safe out there this weekend. And while your having your barbecues and family outings, may I ask that we not forget the men and women who died so we could enjoy the freedoms we take for granted every day.

If you think about it, there really is nothing happy about Memorial Day, but as Americans, we honor our dead with life, and with life we celebrate. I am sure our men and women who died over the last 200 plus years that we have been a nation, did not die for us to live sadly for their sacrifices but to live with vigor and passion for the freedoms they provided us.

May God Bless America and May God Bless our troops who protect her.
