We are pleased to announce the arrival of our Woodcraft Woodworking Quiz coming here to The Patriot Woodworker!

We are going to fire up our first round of quizzes beginning this Monday July 9th.

Woodcraft has sent us a goody box full of door prizes for the winner of each quiz. We have safety glasses, tape measures, angle checkers, and woodworking plans.

Our quizzes will be diligently extrapolated from the pages of Woodcraft Magazine. So if you don't have the current issue of Woodcraft you better run on out and get it now at your local news stand or bookstore. Or you can Subscribe to Woodcraft Magazine from here and not only are you getting a great magazine but your also supporting The Patriot Woodworker to help keep us live on the web and to support our troops.

 

The Rules:

1. All Members and Forum Hosts are eligible to play.

2. Site Administrators are not eligible to play.

3. All questions for our Woodcraft Quizzes will be extrapolated directly from the current issue of Woodcraft Magazine.

4. Only precise answers from the pages of Woodcraft Magazine will be accepted.

5. There may be more then one correct answer given by our members, in which case the first most correct answer will win that weeks quiz. We are looking for precise answers or even quotes from the Woodcraft Issue.

6. The page number within the Woodcraft Magazine issue from which you found the answer is required along with your answer.

7. Participants are encouraged to present your answers to the quiz even if it appears the correct answer was already given. Remember, we are looking at precision and diligence in your answers, your answer could be better then the first one that appeared correct.

8. The quiz will continue for the period of 5 days, when on each Saturday following the commencement of the quiz, the answer will be disclosed and the winner will be announced.

9. The winner will be notified publicly at the Woodcraft Magazine Quiz for the week in which it was given.

10. The winner will provide a mailing address to the Site Administrator(s) for purpose of shipping the door prize to their home or PO Box.

11. Prizes can only be mailed to the 50 states and Canada. Sorry international members.

12. All rules are subject to change as we tweak the game for the better enjoyment of our members.

Good Morning John,

I just now noticed your subject of quizzes and I am pleased to see that I am not the only one wishing to teach the various woodworking techniques that can and should be used in the everyday operation of a good woodworking shop and I applaud your taking on this chore. Good luck with them and many happy returns to your quizzes.
