It's A Great Honor for Us to Announce

Featured Replies

We were contacted by a great outfit and news magazine named Woodshop News.

Jennifer Hicks of Woodshop News scheduled a call time for myself to participate in a phone interview about our woodworking community here at The Patriot Woodworker and they are going to have a half page feature in their print magazine about our woodworking community here at The Patriot Woodworker highlighting our current event (1st Annual Woodturner's Contest) and how the proceeds are being donated to Homes For Our Troops.

As you all know our winners will be announced November 11th Veterans Day so they want to insert the article in their December issue of Woodshop News depicting a short history of our site, our workings, our causes, and also the winner of the wood turners contest!

I spoke with Mrs. Hicks yesterday morning and she was a joy to speak with. I hope I didn't sound like a bumbling fool, I was a tad nervous and I might have babbled on a bit too much, but she was a wonderful interviewer!

This is a big milestone for our woodworking community. Along with the article about our site, she is going to tell folks how they can find us here at www.thepatriotwoodworker.com and hopefully we'll get some more interested parties come aboard!

I am very proud of our site and our members, this site would not be what it is today without you all here. I want to thank all who have participated in our on-going activities that support our troops and have helped raise awareness about our two main causes here, Homes For Our Troops and Wounded Warriors Project.

Thank you all for your continued support. And thank you Woodshop News for the attention you are giving us! I am humbled and honored. We did not ask for this recognition, we never do, we just do what we do, and it seems folks are watching!

I'd like to encourage folks to surf on over and check out Woodshop News, they are a great magazine full of great information pertaining to the woodworking industry and  woodworking of all levels.

If you'd like to subscribe to this great publication click on the image below, I am subscribed to their digital edition at a very low price!

I have not heard of this magazine and it isn't in any of the book/magazine places I have been. I may be interested if could see one or a place on the web where I can see an example of what the magazine covers.

This is GREAT news, John!

Like Ron, I haven't seen this publication in my area, but then about he only place I get to is Lowe's.

Congratulation John,

God knows how hard you have worked on these forums to make them what they are today and you deserve recognition and having an article in the magazine is a wonderful thing for you and the Patriot Woodworker.

I am very happy for you and may God bless you and give you more food for the forums in the future.

Respectfully,

Sounds Great,  Does not surprise me I haven't heard of it. Living in the middle of a corn field, ya can't count on wally world to carry anything ya might want. so unless I make it to the big city once month I don't get any kind of wood working Mags.

It's good to know that the mag is available in digital format - just what Phil needs.

Kudos to  you John - will be looking forward to the article.  Thanks to all the hard work you do in keeping this forum A+ #1 in my humble opinion.

And thanks also go out to all of us who help John keep it "on the air".

John,

A well deserved honor, all the good things that happen here are because, You, first had the idea and the drive to see it through.

Thank you and congrats.
