Awhile back we had an idea to show Woodcraft LLC our appreciation for supporting us and playing a key role in the existence of our site. You see,Woodcraft is our premier affiliate, and our sponsor. Without Woodcraft and their funding of our site, it would be hard for us to exist folks, simple as that. This site takes money to run, we have monthly dues, extra expenses are incurred from time to time to pay for odds and ends that just seem to pop up all the time during the course of running and operating a woodworking community. And we were always struggling until Woodcraft stepped up. They are supporting us because we work so hard to help our disabled veterans, if we did not have such an honorable cause they would not be here for us. They love our troops as much as we do. Otherwise we would be just another woodworking community.

Woodcraft has been instrumental in our success, getting the word out about is in blogs, helping us kick off our Turners Contest and contributing prizes, donating the door prizes for our weekly quizzes and more.

To show our thanks we thought about Fred Wilson and his "I Am A Patriot Woodworker" scrolls he has been producing. We contacted Fred awhile back in August and asked Fred if we could purchase his scrolls for some very special folks at Woodcraft who have been instrumental in our success.

Fred almost reached through the phone and strangled me when I told him we'd pay for his art, he said "heck no, I'll have 3 scrolls coming out to you in no time, it's for a great cause John and your money is no good around here!"

So with that, Fred Wilson took to scrollin and in no time he sent us three "I Am A Patriot Woodworker" scrolls that are just absolutely beautiful!

We made up three letters of thanks to the President of Woodcraft Mr. Jody Garrett, the Marketing Director who we work closely with Mrs. Liz Matheny, and our premier Woodcraft Social Media expert who is also an ardent supporter of our site and our work with our disabled vets, Mr. Frank Byers. We framed the letters and sent them off with Fred's scroll art.

The below picture was taken last week in my home right before we boxed them and sent them off to Woodcraft.

We sent them off in two boxes to Liz Matheny where she distributed the work and letters to the recipients. And they were all just flat out thrilled!!! Here is a photo of one of Fred's scrolls in the office of Mr Jody Garrett President of Woodcraft.

And last but certainly not least, Liz Matheny chose to set hers out in the lobby show case of Woodcraft.

I would like to personally thank Fred Wilson for his valiant efforts and support of our site that made this a very special thank you for Woodcraft. As I say always, our members make our site and it's The Patriot Woodworker spirit embedded in the hearts of members like Fred Wilson that make this a very special place.

And a big thanks goes out to our Site Administrators John Moody and Ronald Dudelston for helping me compose the thank you letters for our three very important recipients.
