December 17, 201213 yr comment_19753 I know - I'm late on posting this - first day on the job and I blew it.ANYHOWWhat did y'all get completed this past weekend? Â As for me, a little Christmas shopping done, cleaned out the ole woodburner, prepared the travel trailer for its winter storage (even though we are planning a couple of trips), and other honey do stuff. Â Not much saw dusting I'm afraid.Fredaka Pop's Shopwww.pops-shop.com'Soooooo many patterns - sooooo little time' Report

December 18, 201213 yr comment_19772 Nothing !!! Got some stuff cut that needs to be finished tonight. Not doing any Christmas shopping this year either, all the gifts we give are going to be handmade, by either me or the wife. Got some venison in the freezer so all we need for Christmas dinner will be some veggies.GregSite hosthttp://www.thesawdustfactoryga.com/ Report

December 18, 201213 yr comment_19764 It will be John. We never have stuck to the traditional ham and turkey. I've been known to put some ribs or a boston butt on the grill for a Christmas meal. John Morris said:Now that sounds like a wonderful dinner Greg.Greg Aksdal said:John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops and Wounded Warriors Project Report

December 19, 201213 yr comment_19759 Phil, looking forward to seeing the pics. I've been working on Deb's quilt rack and I got both side assemblies glued up and partially sanded. Today I'll receive my jig saw from amazon and will get the profile cut on the top rails of the side assemblies then final routing, sanding, install of the bottom shelf and quilt rails and then the finish. I'm running out of time but I hope to have it done by Christmas. I was hoping instead of lap joints for the side assemblies to use mortise & tenons but I don't have the height on my bench top mortiser and didn't want to attempt it with hand chisels since mine are junk so I stuck with the lap joints called out in the plans. www.thepatriotwoodworker.com Proud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops Report
December 19, 201213 yr comment_19758 Yep, we stay traditional for Thanksgiving, but on Christmas we try to do a prime rib roast, with a nice spicy crunchy crust! December 19, 201213 yr Author comment_19756 Finally got all three Appalacian Trail plaques finished. Â I know - I didn't get them done last week end - but I was supposed to. Â Lacked the quarters for the third one. Â Guy is coming from North Carolina tomorrow to pick them up. Â Anyhow, here they are. Had to use the dreaded spiral blade to cut the letters since the smallest is about 22" high. Â Thanks for looking.
