February 18, 201313 yr Author wow havent thought of that, need to look an see what kind of blade it is,the bran is Craftsman,an right now just usein the blade that came /it,have to look an see the blade.also didnt know there are differnt blades for it ,thats why i like this site, since i am new to some of this wood workin, this is my first big project,so wish me luck,an if i need help i KNOW where to go.
February 19, 201313 yr Hey Ron,You may be able to use a 1/2" or 5/8" 3 tooth per inch (TPI) blade for resawing. You can get blades as narrow a 1/8" for scrolling. For bandsaw boxes, a 3/16" blade is a good choice. A 3/8" blade is a good all purpose blade. Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' G. K. Chesterton
February 19, 201313 yr I told her i was buying a plane and she looked at me astonished and said "You can fly?".
February 19, 201313 yr I told her i was buying a dust collection unit for the basement shop. Â She said "Why bother? Half of the sawdust is up here!!!"
February 19, 201313 yr I saw a few of my plants were drying out on top cause they had no mulch on top to keep the moisture in. Â I told her "I'm going to the store to buy mulch for the house plants".She said "Don't bother" and went into the laundry room and got a bucket half full of sawdust and chips."Here use this, it's from your pockets".

February 19, 201313 yr There are different sizes, thickness', lengths and TPI for band saw blades. if you are cutting a lot of thin material, then a high TPI number is appropriate.Ron England said:wow havent thought of that, need to look an see what kind of blade it is,the bran is Craftsman,an right now just usein the blade that came /it,have to look an see the blade.also didnt know there are differnt blades for it ,thats why i like this site, since i am new to some of this wood workin, this is my first big project,so wish me luck,an if i need help i KNOW where to go.
February 19, 201313 yr Great rule of thumb James! Thin = high tpi, thick = low tpi.
