In case you were considering any Festool products...As if they already weren't premium priced...

Festool Announces 2017 Price Hike

Not likely to change my tool buying habits. Just makes it harder for the PRO to make a living.

Whew, I'm glad I already got all the Festool stuff want/need/can afford....see below for pictures of my collection. Don't think I need any more.

It will absolutely not have any impact on me....I'm not buying new Festool products. If'n I come across a used deal, I may grab something, otherwise it's the other brands.

Yeah, I have to rush out and get one of these before the prices go up

I still sometimes believe the main reason people go ga-ga over this stuff is they are mentally trying to justify their purcha$e.   I believe they have some good stuff, but 3x as much as a good competitive product??   Still waiting for a Dewalt Domino-style mortiser.

  • Get through the end of the day feeling good about your work and better about your back
  • Improve your bottom line by getting more done in less time - while reducing frustration and fatigue. with the MFH 1000

Can't believe you don't want to "improve your bottom line" Keith and "feel good at the end of the day"...Getting rid of all those $$'s from your wallet will definitely make one's bottom lighter, thus keeping it off the line...:D

Once the patent & copyright protection expires "domino knock-offs" will hit the market at a realistic price same as occurred with Fein and the explosion of competitive multi-tools. Block the competition, you can put any price you want on something...

Your touche would really appreciate one of those......

Mine either Fred...don't count on coming across their tools used on a good deal either. I stop in our local Pawn Shop occasionally to see what's come in; I've got some pretty good tools at great prices there in the past. A few weeks ago, I got all excited seeing several FT products including their track saw and HEPA dust collector...none of it appeared to have been used much if at all...Nothing was priced anywhere near reasonable...only time I've ever seen any FT for sale in the "wild."
