Well here is the result of all that wood I have been sawing. The cedar posts are not perfectly symmetrical but should hold up nicely. The 2x6 ridge is the only lumber I had to buy. Other than the cedar is all laurel oak. Still have to drill for bolts on the posts for extra and probably no needed strength . Hope to get onto the tin roof Friday.

Annual Labor Day Tractor Fest down in West Liberty, OH. Managed to go half of Friday, before the heat started to get to me...event was mainly about.. What else..Tractors....but, I was there for.. Hunting rusty tools....This was the second tent full, the first one didn't start out too well.. I think I will pass..besides, I don't think I can carry one of these around all day.. Just around the corner from these saws. Was 2 rows of tables....filled with plastic trays... Along with a lot of stuff UNDER the tables... Got to digging through a few trays... Nope, nothing here...next tray... And hiding below that back saw (turned out to be a Jackson) was a Crown Gent's saw...$2 each....another tray, more digging around.. Buried under all of this, was a push drill, for $0.50...so, so far the "booty" is.. I think I can carry this 3 around, the rest of the day. Another tent of tools... Not much here...move along to the next tent... And this was just walking in past that first photo.... and.. and... Planes? Planes? And.. Was trying to get out of this tent with most of my cash intact... Wasn't looking good... Finally found me way out...the sign on that tool chest? There were acouple others selling old tools, though, some seemed to think they were made of gold....Parked meself on a bench a few times, inhaling a cold water bottle or two.....1400 hrs in the afternoon....about half of the vendors won't open until 1600 hrs, with the Vintage Car Show....all the food vendors, too...no lunch for me....did I mention Tractors? Part 2 coming up..

Hitched a ride south this morning.....did a mile and a half stroll through the Tractors and all the vendors... Tractors? Tractors? This one has a log as a motor mount? There were a few engines running.. Take a good look at what that thing is sitting on.... Went past a shack that had these sitting around, that one off to the right? So, where there is sawn lumber...there must be a saw? There is a wide, web belt to the right....it hooks up to a PTO on a tractor. Saw even has dust collection.. That plywood box is hooked to a pipe that goes to a cyclone outside, then into a dump truck's bed. Bigger saw blades over by that white door. Check out the tail light? Headlight uses a single candle.... Spent one dollar for these two.....North Bros. #33H and a scratch awl....more on the plane in a bit.. $15 for this 4" x 26" mitre saw. Spine says Disston and Sons....etch says Landon/ Millers Falls.....handle needs a bit of work.. not sure what the story is here, with that off-set bolt...will find out after a clean up.....now, about that plane.. Stanley No. 4..Type 9 has two patent dates. That price tag? I paid my $8 and left.... Lunch was from the Food Row....General Tsu's Chicken on rice.....and a can of cold Mountain Dew.....cost the same as the plane... Saw quite a few tools and such, even though there were tarps all over the place. Fest goes until Monday night....Was a fun afternoon... Now I think I will just kick back and rest up...

Because the Labour Day weekend is getting close. What is so special? Weeelll, West Liberty,OH has a place called Lion's Park..... Labour day weekend( Thursday -Sunday) they have a "Tractor Fest" Last year, I could have walked a MILE looking at all the vendors. There is a limited area for RVs to park. LOTS of FOOD! But, the town is a Dry Town....no booze. Some years, a Blacksmith will even set up a forge. Lots of tractors, even a parade of them. Ball games on the ball field, too. Mark them Calenders.....
