Dear folks, My Dad has a place up the mountain, and it's old, and old. His home is a singe wide trailer built in the 60's, and back in the 70's someone had built an addon room off the side of the single wide. The room is a typical DIY job, stick frame, T1-11 siding, flat roof, well, a very slight slope to the roof, but for all practical purposes it's flat. The roof currently has rolled roofing that has held up good. The room is 15' by 15'. This room is where he spends most of his time, it has the TV and computer, and his dog, with a view forever to the valley. With our current rains the place has finally sprung leaks, the addon has about 13 leaks last count from dad's phone call, with 13 buckets on the floor below. By the way the rolled roofing is setting on 6" wide T&G which is also Dad's ceiling from the inside. And we'll have snow on the way soon. We don't have the money, nor the time to fix it properly at this point, so we are looking for a temporary fix to get us through till tax season is good to us. Does anyone know of a good coating we could apply that would get us through a few months? The coating would be going over rolled roofing, and it's only temporary. Last resort would be a big sheet of plastic weighed down at the edges. Thanks guys!
