Amongst the taps that were in the old FORD parts box....was a "set" of pipe thread taps....ranging from this 1/4" NPT For 1/4" pipe...then there was this.. 3/8" NPT....anyone ever run 3/8" pipe? But wait, there was more.. Everyone has seen 1/2" pipe, right? and , maybe this next one? 3/4" pipe? Imagine the tap wrench for that...but, wait..there was one more.. IF I read the markings correctly....this be an 1-1/2" pipe thread tap.... About the only use I'd have for these..is to "chase" bad threads on pipe clamps....otherwise, these need a home with someone who will use them... Still sorting through the "normal" taps....from 7/8" ( coarse and fine threads) on down.....maybe I could build a box to hold them and the rest of the tap & die tools? Didn't find any dies to match these Pipe thread taps....
