My Dad is a member of a K-9 Search and Rescue team. Wants to use this boat to train the dogs how to0 search AND stay in the boat. All the covers were made of plywood that was never sealed up so they were done. Replaced all wood pieces with new stuff, all PT lumber and all edges sealed, primed then 2 coats of oil based paint. Hinges are either aluminum or stainless steel. One came with boat the other Dad had in his collection. Every bolt, washer, and nut has been painted and the screws are all stainless steel. Dad is rather particular about that. Came out pretty good. A 1st for me, never done work on a boat before. Dead mans handle on the winch was missing so made a new one on the lathe. Drilled a 9/16 hold through it then cut in half. Attached to handle and glued it back together. Still working on rest of frame. All of it gets paint.
