Good day folks, I have a little problem. Our kitchen sink faucet all the sudden lost pressure. About half. For no reason at all it seems, I did a visual inspection underneath, the hot and cold water are on full max, the stainless hose that the faucet detachable spray nozzle is connected too, is not kinked nor blocked. There is nothing visually that seems to have caused the sudden low drop. The face of the nozzle that has all the spray pattern holes in it, is clear and clean, no deposits blocking the flow, it's a pretty new faucet, I installed earlier this year. The rest of the house is flowing fine. Any ideas?

I have had this "simple" upgrade on my list since changing the batteries out the first time! As part of the kitchen upgrade a few years back we installed a new sink and a new faucet. This particular faucet has an eye at the base to turn the water on/off by a wave of the hand in front of it (and it was installed pre-covid ). You likely know the type, the faucet itself goes up into a hook about a foot over the sink. When the control says "on", the water splashes all over... Anywho, our control for this rig is a small battery operated gizmo attached to the back of the sink base like so Not a very easy place to get to when batteries need replacing. Compound that with what I uncovered last December when the batteries needed changing. Oh, and did I mention that the batteries do not give any "heads up"? They just work, until they don't. Here are the RayOVac batteries I changed out. So, I asked the Mrs. to keep her eye out at yard sales for some toy that would use a 4 x AA battery box. Since I was actively looking, there were none to be had. I found what I needed at a remote control car hobby shop. The white wire is some auto speaker wire I had on hand. Yesterday while the Mrs. had gone to town I thought that would be a good time to tackle the project. I had earlier made a small picture shelf , so I got this done. I will not say it was a minimum of hassle, but I can now/in the future, easily change out the batteries with barely even bending over. I am happy with it. YMMV - it is tight quarters to work in there, and not a lot of extra wire at the control box.

Someone i know (thankfully not me) is re-doing a bathroom and is thinking about a waterfall faucet. Any opinions on them - good, bad, ugly (well, lots of them are ugly, but that's not the point).
