    A new tool...(toy?)

    Gene Howe posted a topic in General CNC Work

    Just ordered a 40 watt Creality laser. Not that I would use for this but it will supposedly cut 3/4 oak in one pass. But, my use in the cutting mode will be in 1/8 or 1/4 plywood. Possibly 1/2 if the need arises. I envision making small boxes but, most of it's use will be engraving wood, slate, stainless steel and cylindrical objects like tumblers. Should be lots of fun.
