Ernie Richardson (BAA Bugler) 75 Posted March 22, 2015 Report I have asthma and tried finishing with CA twice and gave it up. I use wipe-on poly now. Not many fumes and I like the finish. Takes more time but since I'm dong it as a hobby and I'm retired, I have the time. I didn't like the finish I got with the CA. Probably bad techique on my part but I looked at a minimum of a dozen videos on CA finishing and think I followed the rules and it still didn't look right to me. I ended up stripping the blanks and refinishing them with poly. The old Crafstman shop vac REALLY SUCKS. Its about 35 years old and really still works well to keep the flying dust and chips under control. Quote
