Elegant cross

This is a cross I made for Mt. Zion church in Mahaffey , PA. Clearfield county. The stain on this is black tea brushed on and then dried. It was followed by a wash of vinegar with steel wool left sitting in it for a few days. A black lauan backer was added for depth.

I can only imagine how proud they must be to be able to display this.

I'm sure that this will be a hit. Where this is dedicated to has much meaning. My dad used to hunt there and the people there are very into the church as well. I bought a property there and bought a sawmill near it. I hope down the road to have it operating so I can do large scale projects. I have chainsaw mills that would be great for the place and I have some pretty hyper saws so I can " tailor " some wood big mills cannot.
