We used to have 12 in our yard, now only 6 of them. They are a bit of a dirty tree, 42 weeks a year there's something falling out of them.

One of the 3 we took down to install our Solar Panels, I was told by my pallet guy it was veneer quality. I had it cut into boards 12' long and as much as 22" wide, beautiful clear wood.

It's the last treeing the neighborhood to lose its leaves and then it does it on one day after a hard frost. The bare tree to the left is also a Butternut.
