A really old building by the wharfs would be my first haunt. An old old brick . Stone building being demolished, I'd look into the lintels. 

 

There's probably a whole lot of hemlock from Washington State and Oregon, though. From 1880 to 1910 or so forests there were clear-cut. Post war industry after the Depression of 1873 ended. Building up during the Great Migration of 1880-1920.
