gutter paver perimeter on extended footer

During construction in 1926, voids between foundation stone were packed with an 8-to-1 sand/lime mix which had, in places, turned back into sand. All parging was removed, suspect mortar between stones dug out and replaced with concrete. The walls leveled to about an inch.   It was interesting to note the stones themselves within this 22" thick masonry wall had been set with care, contact points resting on cement mortar applied, evidently, by the teaspoon. Frugal builder!
