Charles Nicholls Members September 18, 201411 yr comment_80 Report Author stats Hi Lew, I use 2 part epoxy most of the time but I also use thick CA if I need to get it done fast. You have to drill a 5/8" hole for the rod and then the compass I believe is 9/16, but I'm not positive since one is not in front of me now. I also drill a 5/16 hole in the side of the wood to attach the cord and striker.
