Overlaying the model on the photo really makes this spectacular.

In 1966 our aircraft carrier came into Ford Island on the way to Vietnam. I was part of the "Man the Rails" detail and was fortunate enough to be on the side toward to Memorial. It was a sobering experience.

I did the same in 1967 and last year while doing some research on the Arizona decided to Honor the men who perished that fateful day.

I hope that those that view it understand that though it is not "Museum" quality it is none the less for the Memory of the 11 Sailors and Marines that are entombed in Her.
