This is a wonderful job and tribute, can you elaborate how and why this effort went to the Hines VA? This is fantastic, thanks so much for sharing.

I volunteer with the Hines Mental health awareness  group and unveiled it for the V A Health Fair it originally was to be completed for the V A Art fair in March but due to trying to complete it,  I could not complete it by the deadline so I completed it for this event. was held was held on April 27 2016

There are only a few models that I know of and they were done by professional model makers, My friend Greg Hopper and I did this from only the stated dimensions and from Pictures gleaned from the internet. it took over 6 months and about 350 man hours to complete.

I wanted to Honor the 1177 Sailors and Marines that perished that day and to honor the few WW@ veterans in my area.
