Pipe Thread Tap & Die Box

1/2" thick Poplar to make the box.  3/4" thick Pine scrap to make a holder for the taps and die....still waiting on more dies to show up.   Through dovetails on the corners.  Lid has a hand planed, Raised Panel....Lid was then split off of the box using the Bandsaw ( fine kerf blade) Less tearout that way.  

 

Hinges, a latch, and a card holder for the hardware.   Usual Gunstock stain/clear gloss varnish

 

Size?  only stands 3" tall, box is 6" x 9" over all.  That large tap is a 1" Greenfield  11-1/2 threads.  Die is an 1/8 NPT.
