Pretty soon, Steve, you're gonna have to change the name of the dungeon to the orphanage.

Red's a nice color. Orphans come in all sorts of colors and in all sorts of shape.

That one is looking good, now.

Picked up a can of Kleen Stripper  for the handles.    Also bought a can of red, in case they need it.   If the wood is MEH,,  it will get a coat or three of red.     Plan onstripping the red handles, an old BROWN union tote, and the Millers Falls #8.    The M-F #8 will get a refinish to bring out that fancy wood Millers Falls used,   Something called Gancalo???    Not sure on the brown tote as of yet, depends on what is under the brown junk of a finish.

Be warned:    Tax check has arrived, Rust Hunt is being planned.     Target is a nearby town, with TEN Antique stores!   might be a Road trip....

Steven, Goncalo (Goncalva Alves) is a beautiful wood from South America. Kinda looks like Koa. I think Colt or Remington used to make their grips from Goncalo. It's pretty dense. good wood for any kind of handle. Out here, Woodworker's Source has it in stock. For a guy that cringes when he pays for red oak, Gancalo is out of my price range. It definitely ain't paint grade.
