February 14, 201313 yr Not a bad price. It's a little on the thin side for heaver routers but would be great for the lighter routers if you plan on leaving the router mounted in the table. A friend of mine had this plate with a 3 1/4 hp router mounted on it and after 6 months the plate developed a sag. He went to the 3/8" Woodpecker plate and has had no sagging.Considering the price though this is a great buy!www.thepatriotwoodworker.com Proud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops
February 14, 201313 yr Author 1/4" is thin?  I can't imagine it deforming under a lousy 20 pound load. I wonder if there's another factor at play such as how he loads the table when working it.  Lots of guys really lean down hard on their routering coz it gives 'em a sense of more control. I suppose it might work that way at that.I've had a triton big dog in a table for some years now with a plastic Jessem top and it hasn't deformed downward.
February 14, 201313 yr Sorry Cliff your correct. I miss spoke his original plate was Phenolic. I stand corrected.www.thepatriotwoodworker.com Proud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops
