February 22, 201313 yr  Ok, when last we saw this little table, there was a few things in the clampsGot these out of the clamps today, and dry fitted the rest of the parts.   I needed to cut four corner blocks, so i "fired up" the NEW MitersawHey, it is new to me.  Atkins panel saw, to boot.  Anyway, got the four blocks cut and drilled. Needed to counter sink the screws on the blocksThis bit is used in my drill press. The screws are for attaching the base to the topthrough these slotted holes.  I just drill straight through, then rock the drill back and forth to make a slot.  Got the top centered within , maybe, 1/2" of centers, close enough. And scrwed the base down.  Time to BLO the bottom areas, before I stand this table up.   Have a can of Poly Gloss to apply after the BLO dries. A look at the bottom of the Table, all BLO'd upNo, that is NOT blotching on the apron.  The grain is going in every direction at once.  The darker areas are in fact end grain!!  Imagine that one. Same with the back apron.  Both were resawn from the same rafter.  I didn't BLO the edges, as I need something to hold onto as I flip this now assembled table over.   Next up?   Maybe a bit of final smoothing on the top's top, and then some finish? Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
