February 25, 201313 yr Another short weekend - but - full of saw dust. I got three more maps cut out and stained, put final finish on a few projects for the upcoming show and got ready for jury duty (was there for 4 hours this morning and then they sent us home  ). February 26, 201313 yr I wish I was as productive as you were Fred! Well actually I was but it had to do with shuttling kids to softball tryouts, and up to the mountains to play in the snow and other areas of family attention! I did get to walk out in my shop and sweep up a little if that counts? I hope all had a great weekend!John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops and Wounded Warriors Project

February 26, 201313 yr You bet Gene! I wouldn't trade if for anything.Youngest girl did fine at the tryouts, they'll all be called up in a couple weeks to determine what team they are on. My oldest girl had a very proud moment this last week, she was called up from Freshman to play on her Junior Varsity team! Her buttons were popping, she is a freshman in highschool. My youngest child, our 8 year old son, starts up baseball in a few weeks, so it's going to be very busy in the Morris home come spring getting them all to their practices and games. Typically during this time of the year, I leave work at 5pm, drive straight to a game or practice and meet my wife there, or she is at another field with another child, and we get home around 8pm, then I come on here with all you lovely folks and see who's causing trouble and take care of behind the scenes TPW affairs. This goes on till late April or mid June if their team does well and goes to playoffs. By that time, my wife and I are secretly hoping they don't make playoffs! We are burned out! LOL. But as I stated, never in my wildest dreams, would I trade it for a dang thing, we are most blessed. February 27, 201313 yr In addition to that TV Table.....Rear brakes are rebuilt!   Working like new, even!     Might take a couple days for the hands to get fully cleaned, and the cuts healed up.    One side was just rusted inti pieces, rebuild with new.   Other side was a leaking mess, new brake cylinder and new parts to rebuild it.    Bleed them out, adjusted the E-brakes, and down the road it went.   Had my son do a lot of the rebuild work, since he learned the "How-to"s at the local JVS Auto school, as a Senior.   I was the "Shop Foreman" on this job, double checking as we went.  Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
February 27, 201313 yr Author Steven - rear brakes? Â That doesn't sound like woodworking to me - that being said, there is nothing in the topic of this thread that specifies woodworking - SO - YOU ARE COVERED, SIR. Â Shop Foreman is a good thing when our kids are smart enough to do the actual work. Â Yepper, work smarter not harder. Â Oh - if he was doing the work, how did your hands get all cut up?Fredaka Pop's Shopwww.pops-shop.com'Soooooo many patterns - sooooo little time'Scroll Saw Forum Host
