February 27, 201313 yr  Last coat has been rubbed out.  So, here we goI left the edge kind of Natural, just to let the grandson know where this came from. Just old square, stubby legs, like me.Can you see the cracks in the top?  There are about four of them. Them knots just didn't like being sealed up, either. The beveled edges kind of shine up, too. That is some of the old Waterbed finish on the edge.   This is actually the back of the table, the side that sits against a wall.    Well, I need to tell Tyrone to come and pick up his table.   He seems to like it, so far.  I think it just might be enough to hold his 42" TV.... February 28, 201313 yr Author  Nice little project.   It was a bit hard on some of the planes, though.  Bad part of reclaimed lumber?   A hidden nail or even worse, a broken off Brass screw!    Found one of each, the hard way.   That edge that goes against the wall?   it had the excess "hardware" just below the surface.   Thanks for looking in.  Now, IF anyone knows where there is a stash of old lumber that needs to be recycled......Planer?
