I'm looking for some direction here from those that know for sure. I have a tip that I think is a good idea that I would like to submit to I.E. Wood magazine, Woodsmith magazine...etc etc.

I did find a link for Woodcraft magazine. Do they award prizes for tips?

After looking on line at most of the magazine's websites I find no links for submitting tips. I know most of them award prizes for those they deem worthy for printing in their magazines.

I've had tips and projects published in WoodCraft magazine. Originally, I sent them via USPS but I think now they prefer email for at least the first contact. Let me look and see if I have any addresses.
