March 4, 201313 yr Hi all,My wife has been dropping hints left and right that she wants me to build a knitting (spinning) wheel. As I am not really sure of the mechanics of these, I was looking for any plans that might be out there. The only thing I came across was a poorly drawn plan that left more questions than answers. Does anyone know of a source or site where I might find a workable plan?I did find one you tube video where someone takes one apart and re assembles it, so I now have some idea of whats involved. As far as measurements or ratios, I'm clueless.ThanksKevin WellsChuckin' Woodwww.chuckinwood.com

March 5, 201313 yr dimensions. measurements. and ratios are pretty much things you can eyeball and do so from pictures on the interwebs too.. There are no critical dimensions. The whole spinning process is by hand: Ergo the crafts-person makes the thing work by invoking her skills and not by taking advantage of any nonexistent critical pre-sets in the equipment.
